Crime of The Week
Around the midnight hour on Saturday September 19th police and fire crews were sent to an abandoned home on Indian Creek West in Chatham. Upon arrival they found the house fully engulfed in flames.
Through investigation it was determined that this fire was intentionally set and as a result the home was destroyed. Evidence at the scene indicates that a vehicle was parked by the home at the time of the fire.
Not only is arson very dangerous and destructive. The insurance costs for this type of crime are passed along to everyone through the premiums we pay. Crime Stoppers is seeking the identity of the persons responsible for this arson.
