Crime of the Week – Firearms theft
Over the weekend of February 23rd and 24th unknown suspects entered or attempted to enter several homes on Siskind Court in Chatham which had been left secured by their residents due to the flooding.
Several items were taken during these break and enters however most concerning to the police were the theft of two firearms. A Ruger .22 black polymer rifle with optic scope and a Stoeger over/under 12 Gauge Shotgun. Each were secured with a trigger lock.
Crime Stoppers is seeking information for the return of these firearms along with any information that can identify the persons responsible.
