The Kinsmen Club of Blenheim are pleased to once again host the annual Santa Claus Parade that will travel the streets of Blenheim on Friday, December 1st, 2023 beginning at 7:00 p.m. from Harwich Raleigh Public School. This year’s parade will mark the 29th night time running of the parade that began back in the 1970s.
This theme for the parade is ‘Our Favourite Christmas Movies’. The parade will leave Harwich Raleigh Public School at 7:00 p.m. and make its way up Chatham Street then west along Talbot Street and down Marlborough St. to Stanley Street. Note, Talbot Street will be closed between Chatham and Marlborough shortly after 5:00 p.m. to clear the way for great viewing along the downtown.
The 2023 Santa Claus Parade will feature two live marching bands. The Kingsville Marching Band will be on hand to bring some festive live music to the event and the 642 Legion Pipes & Drums will also be on hand to add to the festivities. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Ridge Landfill Community Trust the Blenheim Kinsmen are able to bring in these bands as well as a feature Ginger Bread house float from the Windsor Parade Corporation. This year’s parade promises to be the most musical yet!
The Blenheim Santa Claus Parade will also feature many local floats from community organizations and local businesses. Every year groups get together to have some fun and add to our community event.
Santa will be meeting with the children after the parade at a new location this year. Come to Talbot Trail Place after the parade to meet Santa and see some new Christmas night-time magic.
